Using the Braden Scale in Clinical Practice: Learning and Testing Competencies
   
A Web-based program available on CD that uses a case study approach to interactive learning and testing of nursing competencies in use of the Braden Scale for Predicting Pressure Sore Risk and associated protocols for improving pressure ulcer prevention in clinical practice. This CD:

	Explains use of Braden Scale subscales to plan specific preventive interventions.
	Provides detailed information on preventive interventions for pressure reduction, nutrition, moisture, and friction & shear.
	Uses a case study approach to interactive learning and testing of nursing competencies in use of the Braden Scale in clinical practice.
	Provides 11 case studies and competency tests for a variety of health care settings that can be prescribed by supervisors or self-selected by learners.
	Uses Web-based technologies but does not require access to the Internet.
